Welcome to Motion Matters

Hi!

Welcome to Motion Matters, a space dedicated to helping you stay healthy, active, and feeling your best. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy with eight years of experience, and I’ve seen firsthand how the demands of modern life can take a toll on our bodies. I firmly believe that consistent movement is key to maintaining overall health and well-being. On this site, you’ll find practical tips to keep your body in motion, strategies for preventing and managing common orthopedic issues, and simple ways to stay active and balanced even in today’s fast-paced world.

I’m a licensed Physical Therapist with eight years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, working with both the general population and geriatrics. These days, I’ve transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom (with some weekend work sprinkled in). I’m a mom and a wife, a northern-born woman who has made her life in the south, and someone who loves helping others move and feel their best.

I’m a person of many interests! When I’m not caring for my little one or working, you’ll usually find me enjoying time outside, crafting, baking up something sweet, exercising, reading, snuggling with my dog, or even playing video games. I love keeping my mind active and have a firm belief that learning never stops; there’s always something new to explore and try.

I love post suggestions and requests, so if you have a topic you want to know more about, please fill out the message and content request form! I'm so glad that you are here and hope you find something on my site that helps you move and feel better.
